Wednesday, August 14 - 6:00-9:00 p.m.

Held the night before Riverfest actually begins “A Special Night for Special Kids” offers carnival rides, entertainment and food at no charge for children with special needs and their immediate families. This night is sponsored by local businesses.

Registration is required. Please pre-register your family so an idea of how many kids are expected can be determined. You may do this by downloading the form from this page and mailing it or dropping it off at Village Hall Village of South Elgin - 10 North Water Street - South Elgin, IL  60177. You may also pre-register by calling 847-774-1151. The first Special Night had approximately 30 kids in attendance; we are anticipating a few hundred this year. Register soon!

“A Special Night for Special Kids” was the proud receipt of the Governors Hometown Award, a testament to how special the evening actually is.
